The Fly Press Finds its Feet
By no means was it of the order of Neil Armstrong's famous comment in 1969 when he walked on the moon, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
However the team working on the Reformation Room project were extremely happy to see the fly press, attached to its new frame, sitting upright in the Martyrs' garage.
• The first step was our 'pyramid routine' – ease it up at one end by levers and build up bricks to get it a significant distance off the ground.
• Then commandeer some Bible College students, fresh from the rigours of their Homiletical Theology classes, to apply their collective strength to the task and lift the press into a position that will make transporting it up one floor to the Exhibition area so much easier.
Many thanks for all your efforts today, lads!
